Yay! I found the DoA thread of my Koodoll Blue by Sdink <3.
As I mentioned in my previous post, I'd like to send my Yugiri girl off for an exquisite new faceup. I want her to look girly and maybe even a bit on the angelic side- but still bit grumpy. The thing is that I'm not yet sure who is the right artist for this. I love this girl so much that I'm really anxious that I'd spend all this time and money sending he off, and then end up disappointed with the outcome :/. There are only a couple of faceup artists I feel I can count on with my eyes closed to make her as beautiful as I'd like- even if I give them a completely free hand.
Alas- either they don't do international commissions, or they aren't taking commissions at all atm, and it doesn't really seem like they're planning on changing that soon.
So I'm kinda lost :/ I'm not very imaginative or creative, so I really need someone whom I can count on to give her a faceup I'll be happy with even if I let them do as they wish with her, as I'm afraid my description of what I want is pretty vague. I know the main atmosphere and expression I'd like the faceup to have, but as I said- I'm so uncreative that I don't know much else. Not even 100% sure about the color scheme.
What do you guys think of Phantom's work? I am seriously thinking about commissioning her to do it. Do you guys know any good faceup artists I could also look into? [I mainly prefer the style of Asian artists, but every good artist who's open for international commissions would be great! ;)]. The price doesn't really matter, I just want to be 200% sure I'll be happy with the results. That would be worth pretty much any price to me.
I must admit I haven't handled a decent LJ account in years, so hopefully I'll manage to catch us with all the new options etc. quickly enough.
I have just received my MSDoll NS Sujan head today. She is absolutely stunning! I couldn't expect for more. MSdolls was kind enough to let me buy this beauty direct-way, with a breathtaking faceup by Korean artist Kimsense. She arrived within 3 days, maybe even less! :O I was all "WTF?!" when I came back home from the post office this morning and found the EMS delivery guy standing at my door.

I am really hoping she'll open commissions for international customers sometimes, because I'm dying to commission her- her work is just stunning, isn't it?! >.<.
You can also see her auction page on the official MSdoll site. I am so glad that the money goes to such a wonderful cause! Because if we spend hundreds of dollars on our dolls- they're just all the sweeter spent on such noble causes. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside to know that there are people like MSdolls who still care enough to do this kind of things.
I'm also glad that my lovely BW Koodoll Blue has a sister now! :D [psst... See him here, on the Ebay auction page... As long as it's still up, at least.
[If you guys are wondering why I don't post any pics of my own, that's because I don't currently have a digicam :(. [I know, I suck!].
Also, need to save some money to send my Yugiri girl for a new faceup. The default one is really well done, but I want her a bit more girly and glamorous! Now that I've finally overcome my fear of shipping dolls to abroad [I was scared that they were gonna get lost on the way/ broken, etc.], I see no reason why my dolls should settle for a crappy faceup by me when they can have their potential maximized by a professional artist who actually know what they're doing. I love my Yugiri girl so much, I can't even get myself to try and change her lashes myself O.o. I already know who I'm gonna send her to once I have some extra cash- I think she's gonna look amazing after she's done with!
One last thing, not really dolls- related: I didn't really get to watch the news today, but I've heard that there were a couple of massive earthquake in Japan yesterday. So I'd just like to send my condolences to our Japanese friends who had someone they know get hurt in any way from this disaster [hopefully there are none, but still].
